Abstract: Al-Qur’an is the only holy book that has been preserved since its descent, preserved by various devices, the memorization of the Muslims, as well as the guarding device in the form of the Ottoman manuscripts which were written during the caliphate of Uthman Ibn Affan. There were several misunderstandings that often occurred when rewriting the Qur'an and later agreed to be the official manuscript used in various parts of the Islamic country at that time, this paper tries to reveal some of the problems that occurred when the committee for writing the Qur'an was chaired by Zaid. Ibn Thabit rewrote the manuscripts of the Qur'an which had been codified during the previous caliph Abu Bakr, such as burning personal records of friends, unification of Qira'at and several other issues.
